Definition:

Say this when you don’t want to reveal the source of your information.

What it means:

Something that you say in order to let someone know that you are not going to tell them who gave you the information being discussed.

You should *not* use it in a formal business situation, this is for informal situations where you playfully want to keep a secret.

“So who told you it was my birthday?'”

“Oh, let’s just say a little bird told me.”
